Medinice Expands into PFA and Robotics and Secures Over PLN 58 Million from a Renowned Polish Pension Fund
April 20, 2026
Medinice S.A. announced its intention to expand its product portfolio with projects in two promising segments of the global MedTech market: Pulsed Field Ablation (PFA) and robotics in the field of surgical systems. The new development directions are consistent with the company's existing strategy, focused on minimally invasive solutions for cardiology and cardiac surgery.
PFA, or Pulsed Field Ablation, is a next-generation technology being developed for the treatment of atrial fibrillation. Its potential is based on selective impact on heart muscle cells while limiting the risk of damage to adjacent structures. The technology may support increased safety and procedural efficiency.
In parallel, Medinice plans to develop in the area of minimally invasive robotic cardiac surgery. Such solutions support precise procedures performed through small surgical access points, limiting tissue trauma and contributing to shorter hospitalization and patient recovery. Robotic systems also increase the precision of the operator's movements, procedure repeatability, and the ergonomics of the surgical team's work.
The new areas do not represent a change in Medinice's business profile, but rather its strategic development. The company remains focused on cardiology and minimally invasive cardiac surgery, while PFA and robotics are intended to strengthen the existing product portfolio, leverage the team's current expertise, and build additional growth potential.
An important element supporting the implementation of the new directions is the securing of over PLN 58 million from one of the largest open pension funds in Poland. The fund acquired 1,165,000 shares of Medinice S.A. at a unit price of PLN 50 per share. In connection with the transaction, the company also received a notification from Nationale-Nederlanden PTE S.A., acting on behalf of Nationale-Nederlanden funds, prepared pursuant to Article 69 of the Act on Public Offering.
The entry of another institutional investor into Medinice's shareholder base strengthens the company's financial stability and supports the execution of its development plans. In 2025, TFI PZU, one of the largest investment fund companies in the Central and Eastern Europe region, also joined the company's shareholder base.
“The entry of another institutional investor into our shareholder base is proof that the foundations of our existing strategy and new directions are gaining recognition among an increasing number of financial institutions in Poland and Europe. The funds obtained from the OFE give us real tools to implement ambitious but precisely planned strategic directions. They also allow us to comfortably conduct ongoing commercialization talks” - said Sanjeev Choudhary, CEO of Medinice S.A.
In parallel, the company continues commercialization processes for two flagship projects from its existing portfolio: CoolCryo, a cardiac cryoablation system, and PacePress, a device designed to reduce the risk of complications following the implantation of electrotherapy devices. In the case of CoolCryo, Medinice is conducting advanced talks with three independent international industry players. In the case of PacePress, the company is engaged in a dedicated process with one of the largest global players in the MedTech market.
