Medinice Signs Letter of Intent for the Commercialization of CoolCryo
January 23, 2026
Medinice S.A. signed a Letter of Intent with an international entity active in the cardiac surgery market. The document concerns the potential sale of the CoolCryo project, a proprietary cryoablation system developed by the company.
The scope of the planned transaction includes the sale of rights to the CoolCryo project together with global patent protection, with particular focus on Europe and the United States. The detailed terms of the transaction, including the final sale price and payment terms, are to be specified in the definitive agreement. The parties declared that they would make every effort to conclude the final agreement within three months of signing the Letter of Intent.
The signing of the Letter of Intent marks an important stage in the commercialization process of CoolCryo. The event is aligned with Medinice's strategy of building value through the development of innovative medical technologies, their clinical and regulatory validation, and subsequent monetization in cooperation with international industry partners.
CoolCryo is a medical device designed for the treatment of cardiac arrhythmias using cardiac surgical cryoablation. The technology was developed by the Medinice scientific team under the leadership of Prof. Piotr Suwalski, Chairman of the Company's Scientific Board. The solution is intended to support minimally invasive cardiac surgery procedures and improve clinical efficiency and patient safety.
In parallel, Medinice was finalizing the FDA 510(k) regulatory process for CoolCryo. In January 2026, the company submitted the required documents and responses to the U.S. regulator and was awaiting the agency's decision.
The company will inform the market about further material developments related to the potential transaction in accordance with applicable disclosure obligations.
