May 8, 2025

Medinice S.A. signed a funding agreement for the project “AtriClamp – an innovative system for left atrial appendage occlusion (LAAO).” The aim of the initiative is to develop a modern solution that will enhance the safety of cardiology patients and support physicians in performing cardiac surgery procedures.

The AtriClamp project encompasses comprehensive research and development activities: the design and prototyping of the medical device, the use of computer simulations and mechanical testing, as well as iterative prototype evaluations. A key stage includes preclinical and clinical trials to verify the effectiveness and safety of the technology. In parallel, work is underway to develop a new production technology for the AtriClamp system.

The project implementation period began on March 7, 2024, and will continue until December 24, 2027. The total project value is PLN 17.4 million, of which PLN 8.7 million is co-financed by European Union funds.

AtriClamp is an innovative medical solution with a tangible impact on improving patients’ quality of life. The system enables effective closure of the left atrial appendage, helping to reduce the risk of thrombus formation and stroke.

The signing of the funding agreement marks an important step in the execution of Medinice S.A.’s strategy, reaffirming the company’s commitment to the development and commercialization of breakthrough medical technologies on global markets.
